If you're a U.S. government user, you can now sign up for Department of Defense military space-available travel with ease. Enter MilSpaceA app, the exclusive app for all DoD travelers. With MilSpaceA app, you can register for Space-A at primary departure terminals quickly, easily, and reliably.
But that's not all -- visitors, family members, and TDY military & contractors can use MilSpaceA app too. Local information, billeting, car rental, dining, Exchange info, links to air terminals' pages, and USOs are just some of the expanded features available on MilSpaceA app.
#2 Expanded Local Info, Aircraft Gallery & Travel Advisories
MilSpaceA app is not only a quick and easy way to sign up for Space-A, but it also offers expanded local information such as billeting, car rental, dining, Exchange info, links to air terminals' pages, USOs, and more. The aircraft gallery provides depictions and basic descriptions of DoD pax aircraft. Travel advisories are available to notify you of temporary conditions affecting Space-A.
#3 Signup Archive, Foreign Currency & Document Library
You can store your signup archive in-app (as well as in your own e-mail "Sent" items), access daily exchange rates for AOIs, and view key Space-A documents in the document library.
#4 Enhanced Online Mapping & Multiple Airfields Signup
With enhanced online mapping, you can see your location relative to points of interest in the app (requires active geolocation & Internet access). You can also sign up for multiple airfields remotely, preparing off- or online and transmitting when you have connectivity.
#5 Step-by-Step Instructions & FAQs
First, browse through "Airfields of Interest". Call ahead to various terminals (call-enabled for iPhone) or visit terminals’ flight schedule pages (if they have them--most don't). Then fill in your details, select departure airfields and destination countries, and send out the signup to register for travel. Some terminals will reply; most will not. Just keep a copy of e-mail(s) as proof of signup.
